Andrej Pleterski is a literary translator from English, French, and Slovak into Slovenian, and of Slovenian poetry into English and Slovak. He has published more than twenty book-format translations (British, Australian, French, Slovak, Maltese, and Slovenian authors) and compiled five anthologies (poetry and prose). He is a two-time winner of the “Lirikonov zlat” International Award for Best Journal Translations of Slovenian poetry into English. In the US, he has published three books by Slovenian authors. In 2018, he was nominated for the AATSEEL Prize for Best Translation into English.
