Ben Stroud is the author of the story collection Byzantium (Graywolf Press, 2013), which won Bread Loaf’s Bakeless Prize for Fiction and the Story Prize Spotlight Award. His stories have appeared in Harper’s Magazine, Zoetrope: All-Story, Virginia Quarterly Review, the Oxford American, and elsewhere, and have been anthologized by the Pushcart Prize, Best American Mystery Stories, and New Stories from the South. He teaches at the University of Toledo.
