Cal Shook received the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize in 2022 and is featured in Catapult’s Best Debut Short Stories anthology. Her fiction also appears in Virginia Quarterly Review, Joyland, and theCommon. She is a longtime New Yorker and holds an MFA from New York University.
