Claudia Emerson Andrews's first book of poems, Pharaoh, Pharaoh, will be published in the spring of 1997 as part of Louisiana State University's new signature series, Southern Messenger Poets, edited by Dave Smith. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, The Southern Review, The Georgia Review, TriQuarterly, Crazyhorse, and other journals. A recipient of fellowships from the NEA and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, she lives in Chatham, Virginia.
