Ehsaneh Sadr grew up in Tehran, Iran; Salt Lake City, UT; and the suburbs of Washington, DC with five brothers, a Muslim Iranian father, and a Mormon American mother. In the late 90s, Ehsaneh moved back to Iran to work on poverty alleviation efforts with local NGOs as well Iran’s Ministry of Reconstruction Jihad. Ehsaneh is the author of A Door Between Us (Blackstone, 2020). She currently lives in Northern California.
