Emily Waples lives and writes in a crumbling Victorian house in Northeast Ohio, where she is associate professor of biomedical humanities and director of the Center for Literature and Medicine at Hiram College. Her essays have appeared in Creative Nonfiction, Fourth Genre, River Teeth, Southern Humanities Review, and elsewhere.
