Gabriel Itkes-Sznap is a Swedish poet and literary critic. He has written two collections of poetry: Duodenal speech (Albert Bonniers Förlag, 2015) and heaven mouth pliers heart (Albert Bonniers Förlag, 2021). For his debut book, he was short-listed for the Swedish Debut of the year award and his second book, which was recently published, has been met with critical acclaim. His work has been translated into German and Greek, and he is currently translating the poetry of George Oppen into Swedish. He holds a PhD in Aesthetics.
