Medbh McGuckian was born and raised in Belfast. Her latest collection with Gallery Press is The High Caul Cap (2012), a meditation on the protracted death of her mother. Her forthcoming collection contemplates the legacy of the First World War and the centenary of the Easter Rebellion.
