Peter Didsbury was born in 1946, in Lancashire. He studied English and Hebrew at Oxford and has spent most of his working life as an archaeologist. He has published four collections from Bloodaxe: The Butchers of Hull (1982), The Classical Farm (1987), That Old-Time Religion (1994), and Scenes from a Long Sleep (2004). A new volume is in preparation.
