Petra Kuppers is a disability culture activist and community performance artist. Her third poetry collection is Gut Botany (Wayne State University Press, 2020). Her new book is Eco Soma: Pain and Joy in Speculative Performance Encounters (University of Minnesota Press, 2022). She teaches at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor and at Goddard College. She codirects Turtle Disco, a somatic writing space, with poet and dancer Stephanie Heit.
