Rebecca Byrkit

Rebecca Byrkit lives and writes in Carlsbad, California and on Patmos, in Greece. Recent collaborations have included poetry translation and novel projects with Greek writer Nick Papandreou. Her first book of poems, Zealand, was nominated for the Western States Award in 1985; she has appeared in Best American Poetry, Thus Spake the Corpse 2000, Fever Dreams (Poets of the American Southwest) and numerous excellent anthologies and magazines, including Ploughshares. She currently writes reviews for Music Connection magazine in Los Angeles and is developing Quilldriver, an international magazine workshop for writers online.
