Sharon Cumberland is completing a Ph.D. in English at the City University of New York. Her poems have appeared in The Beloit Poetry Journal, Fresh Ground, The Iowa Review, The Mickle Street Review, Poet Lore, Contact II, and elsewhere. She once tried her vocation in an Anglican religious order.
