Sofia Puente-Lay received her MFA from George Mason University, where she was selected as the Third Year Fiction Fellow for 2019-2020. Her creative nonfiction has likewise earned honorable mention from the Alan Cheuse Nonfiction Award, with the revised essay forthcoming in The Rumpus. She currently lives and works in the Washington, DC metro area.
