Ángela Inés García Castrillón

Ángela Inés García Castrillón is a poet and translator born in Medellín in 1957; she studied Communication Sciences at the University of Antioquia. She cofounded the International Poetry Festival of Medellín and co-organized it until 1999. She currently directs World Poetry Day in Malmö. Some of her poems include “Entre leño y llama” (Ed. Prometeo, 1993), “Rostro de agua” (Ed. Prometeo, 1997), “Todo lo que amo nace continuamente” (Ed. EAFIT, 2010), “Apuntes para el Ejecutante” (Ed. La Otra, 2014). She received the Casa de América de Poesía prize in 2021.
