Carol Dines has published two novels for young adults, Best Friends Tell the Best Lies (Delacorte, 1989) and The Queen’s Soprano (Harcourt, 2006), as well as a collection of short stories for young adults, Talk to Me (Delacorte, 1997). Her stories and poems have appeared in Bellingham Review, Great River Review, Colorado North Review, Calliope, and the anthologies Somebody’s Speaking My Language, Voices of the Land, and Love and Lust. She is working on a new collection of stories for adults titled Near Misses.
