Charlie Smith is the author of eight poetry books including Jump Soul: New and Selected Poems (W. W. Norton, 2014). He is the recipient of Levinson and Wood Prizes (Poetry), and the Guggenheim, NEA, and New York Arts grants. He is also the author of eight novels and a book of novellas, with writing appearing in in The New Yorker, Paris Review, Harper’s, APR, The New Republic, The Nation, the New York Times, and others.
