J. W. Marshall is co-owner and operator of Open Books: A Poem Emporium in Seattle. Poems of his have appeared in Poetry, The Beloit Poetry Journal, Talisman, Hayden's Ferry Review, and other magazines. He co-edited Fine Madness magazine for fourteen years before retiring recently.
