Janet Desaulniers's fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, TriQuarterly, The North American Review, and twice before in Ploughshares, among other publications. A collection of her short stories is forthcoming from Alfred A. Knopf. She lives in Evanston, Illinois, and is currently Writer-in-Residence at Carthage College.
