Jaquira Díaz is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize, the Carl Djerassi Fiction Fellowship from the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing, a Tennessee Williams scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, a Bread Loaf waitership, and an NEA Fellowship to the Hambidge Center for the Arts. Her work has been noted in Best American Essays, and has appeared or is forthcoming in The Kenyon Review, The Sun, The Southern Review, Five Chapters, and the Pushcart Prize anthology, among other publications.
