Mary Cross's collection Rooms, Which Were People, won The Journal Poetry Award from Ohio State University Press. Her poems and creative nonfiction have appeared in American Poetry Review, Ohio Review, Crazyhorse, Southern Poetry Review, The Sun, and elsewhere, as well as aired on Chicago's local public radio station. She teaches creative writing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies and DePaul University School for New Learning. Currently, she is completing a novel-in-stories.
