Meron Hadero

Meron Hadero is an Ethiopian-American whose short stories have been shortlisted for the Caine Prize and appear in Best American Short Stories, McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, Zyzzyva, and The Iowa Review, among others. She’s published in The New York Times Book Review, the anthology The Displaced: Refugee Writers on Refugee Lives (Abrams Press, 2018), and has attended residencies at Yaddo and MacDowell. She holds an MFA from the University of Michigan, a JD from Yale University, a BA from Princeton University, and a Steinbeck fellowship.
