RICHARD GROSSINGER, born 1944, teaches Anthropology at the U. of Maine and is working on The Book of the Cranberry Islands, which originates in the geography of coastal Maine. He also edits IO, and is the author of The Book of the Earth and Sky (Black Sparrow, 1971) and most recently, Mars (1972).
