Rosina Lippi was a professor for twelve years. She now writes full-time from her home in the Pacific Northwest. Her first novel, Homestead, won the 1999 PEN/Hemingway Award. Under the pen name Sara Donati, she has written a series of historical novels for Bantam, the next appearing in summer 2004. Her short fiction has appeared in Glimmer Train, Epoch, and Redbook.
