Serkan Görkemli’s book, Grassroots Literacies: Lesbian and Gay Activism and the Internet in Turkey (SUNY Press, 2014), won the 2015 Conference on College Composition and Communication’s Lavender Rhetorics Book Award. Originally from Turkey, he is an associate professor of English at the University of Connecticut in Stanford.
