James Valvis was born in New Jersey and lives in Issaquah, Washington. His writing has appeared in Arts & Letters, Louisville Review, River Styx, The Sun, and elsewhere. His fiction was chosen for the Sundress Best of the Net. In 2014, he was awarded a 4Culture Grant for the Arts.
