Susan Conley is the author of The Foremost Good Fortune, which was awarded the Maine Literary Award for memoir. She has served as a poetry and literature professor at Emerson College, the Jack Kerouac Visiting Writer at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and is currently executive director of a nonprofit creative writing center for students called The Telling Room in Portland, Maine.
