Lisa Beech Hartz directs Seven Cities Writers Project, which brings writing workshops to underserved communities. She has guided workshops in a city jail, an African American history museum, an LGBTQ+ community center, and a home for at-risk youth. She is the author of an ekphrastic collection, The Goldfish Window (Grayson Books, 2018). Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in TriQuarterly, the Tahoma Literary Review, Southern Poetry Review, the Massachusetts Review, Beloit Poetry Review, and elsewhere.
