David Lehman's most recent book, The Daily Mirror, consisted of one hundred fifty of the poems he wrote after resolving to write one every day as an experiment. He has continued the practice, and "March 30" is from a new year of daily poems, The Evening Sun, which Scribner will publish in 2002.
