Hayden Carruth has published forty-five books, chiefly of poetry but including also a novel, four books of criticism, and two anthologies. His most recent books are Reluctantly, Beside the Shadblow Tree, Three New Poems, and Dr. Jazz. He has received the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Lannan Award, the National Book Award, and many other honors.
