Anne Bernays is the author of eight novels and the co-author of three nonfiction books, including What If? with Pamela Painter and Back Then, a double memoir of life in New York City in the 1950's, written with her husband, Justin Kaplan. She lives in Cambridge and Truro, Massachusetts.
